Baby’s First Halloween and Library Babytime

Baby’s First Halloween and Library Babytime

For years I haven’t been that into Halloween festivities… Especially when working on the cruise ship, Halloween usually consisted of a normal day in port at a Caribbean Island and maybe a Halloween Crew Party at night.  Last year we were actually in Maui, and spent Halloween night in Lahaina at their famous Halloween Parade!  Now that was festive and fun!  Anyways – no decorating or pumpkin carving for us this year – that will come next year once Hudson is a little older!  We do have a small pumpkin (that we picked up at the patch this year) but its still UN-CARVED sitting on the dining room table (is this considered a Mom Fail?)

Today however we headed to the local library for their Baby-Boo-Time.  Usually called Baby-Time we attend each week and we LOVE IT!  Today was crazy busy with probably over 60 babies and their parents (even grandparents).  Hudson got to see a lot of his little (baby) friends and take photos with them at the Halloween themed photo-booths the library had set up!

Hudson and Liam both bought into the bird theme this year, and they weren’t the only ones either!  There were birds, unicorns, bears, and ninja turtles! Do you think Hudson looks like a chicken or a duck?  A couple people came up and said “What a cute duck he is!” – but he’s actually supposed to be a chicken!  Oh well!

Baby-time at the library consists of Songs and Dance and lots of parent participation.  The two children’s librarians who host it are just awesome and I love watching Hudson watching them in awe!  They are so enthusiastic and do a great job!

“Hello friend! I like your costume!” is what I am sure they are saying to each other!

We are going to miss the library over the next couple of months.  It’s closing for renovations and Baby-Time won’t be starting up again until January. They told us we could borrow up to 100 books during the time the libary is closed.  Yes you read that right – 100 books.  Hudson and I found a few Christmas books today that we checked out using his very own library card!

It’s a Chicken Sandwich 🙂

Hudson is pretty exhausted from all the fun we had at the library.  We even visited daddy at work today and walked to Freshii for lunch.  Now he is napping while I write this post and tidy up the kitchen. Tonight the grandparents are coming over for dinner and we will take Hudson to do some early trick-or-treating to a few of the town-homes nearby.  What are you doing or what did you do for Halloween this year?

Happy Halloween from this mama and this baby Chicken!
