Our Family Stay at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler – Travel Blogger Review

We were invited guests of the Four Seasons Resort Whistler on this trip. All thoughts, expressions, and opinions are my own.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Four Seasons Resort in Whistler for a blissful 3 nights away this fall! Lucky for us, it’s only a couple hours drive, yet it really feels like you’ve escaped to a luxury retreat in a far-away magical mountain resort. Whistler truly is magical anytime of year, and for the many times I have visited, this was by far the most special!

Reasons to Stay at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler

1. The Incredible Pool

When I told Mark to pack his swim trunks he looked at me funny and said “Isn’t it too cold out?”, well the Four Season’s pools are heated year round and they are wonderful!  The pool area is simply gorgeous, and great for kids, with numerous jacuzzi’s (some adult only) and even heated towels!  There’s an outdoor bar, comfortable lounge chairs, and an outdoor sauna. The pool area is truly an outdoor alpine oasis!

2. S’mores by the Fire

Drinking hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit was one of my favourite memories of our stay.  Every afternoon they offer this cozy activity and the s’mores “kit” they provide are perfect! The little marshmallow snowman had Hudson smiling all night long.  It was also a perfect opportunity to mingle and meet other guests who were staying at the resort.  When the sun set, the lights twinkled around us and we really enjoyed sitting by the cozy fire, enjoying our delicious treats!

3. The Cozy Robes

At the Four Seasons the robes come in ALL sizes!  Not only were Mark and I treated to a luxuriously soft robe during our stay, but the children too!  We wore them practically the entire time while going to and from the pool, enjoying our breakfast in the room, and watching movies with popcorn in the evening!

4. The Spacious Well-Appointed Rooms

As our family grows, hotel rooms seem to get smaller and smaller. The suite we had at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler was very spacious, and perfect for a family.  We had a 1 bedroom suite with a king bed, a large master bathroom with a soaker-tub and shower, a walk in closet, as well as a separate living area and a second bathroom.

This worked out perfectly as we could have the kids napping in the bedroom, while we hung out in the living room or on the balcony. The bed was SO comfortable, and the linens were crisp white and luxurious.  We were also thrilled when we arrived to the hotel and the crib was already set up for us in the room.  There has been quite a few times where we’ve arrived at a hotel and I’ve had to call down to the front desk to ask to bring one up and had to wait quite a while.  After traveling it makes all the difference to get those quick naps in immediately after we arrive.

4. The Location at Blackcomb

Whistler Village is separated into the Main Village and the Upper Village.  The Four Seasons is nestled at the base of Blackcomb in the upper village, and is one of our favourite spots to stay.  It tends to be a little quieter in the evenings, has a nice selection of great restaurants & shopping, and is only a short (and also lovely) walk to the main village stroll!  We discovered we were only steps from Lost Lake, which was absolutely stunning!

5. The Wood Sauna

I escaped for a swim one morning while Mark and the kids relaxed in bed, and I discovered the coolest little wood sauna!  Just imagine enjoying this after a day of skiing or hiking and after a nice dip in the pool!

6. The Balcony Views

Pretty much everywhere you look there are beautiful evergreen trees and monstrous mountains surrounding you.  Our balcony was no exception!  We loved enjoying our Nespresso coffee on the balcony in the morning.  Had it been summer (and just a little warmer), you’d probably find me out here all day long.

6. The Food

The In-Room Dining at the Four Seasons is exceptional!  Our tiered “balcony breakfast” was not only insta-worthy but seriously delicious!  I loved the artisan style avocado toast with crispy chickpeas, and Hudson devoured his pancakes and fresh fruit.  One night we ordered pizza to the room and Mark and I kept saying how it was so yummy!  It’s not always easy to go out for dinner with two young kids, so having many great options with in-room dining was such a treat!

7. The Exceptional Service

Hudson injured his wrist while in Whistler, and unfortunately had to have his arm put in a little cast on the last day of our trip. The Four Seasons staff noticed this, and housekeeping delivered a small stuffed moose with his own little cast (safety pinned on) and a note for Hudson! This was so thoughtful and we will always remember it! Thank you so much to the staff of the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, for welcoming us and treating us so well. We cant wait to come back soon!
