Fly Over Canada – The Canadian Rockies

When we were married 9 years ago we brought Mark’s family visiting from England to experience FlyOver Canada with us. I still remember how proud I felt to showcase our beautiful country and how much everyone loved the ride! Last weekend we brought our eldest son (6 years old) to experience FlyOver’s latest flight ride “Windborne” that transports riders to the remote wonders of the Canadian Rockies. The scenery is breathtaking and it made for a super fun morning in the city!

Set off on a journey beyond the summits aboard Windborne: Call of the Canadian Rockies. From the beauty of towering peaks to calm alpine lakes and pristine snow-covered glaciers, Windborne connects us beyond the beauty, as you’ll also discover the spirit of the mountains from the people who call the Rockies home. Hudson loved the music and the suspenseful twists and turns (it truly feels like you are flying).
Children must be 40 inches to ride – but the experience is truly for “All Ages” to enjoy! We brought my 85 year old grandmother last year who loved it! FlyOver Canada also has a pre-show where you stand in the middle of the room and you’re transported to the land you’ll soon be flying over. The ride is multi-sensory where you can also smell the forrest, feel the snow – its quite an incredible feeling to be flying over these untouched lands!
Every seat is a good seat on the ride, you will sit suspended with your feet dangling. I wore sandals and it felt great to kick them off (leaving them safely under my seat) while I was lifted up in the air. I could even feel the cool breeze between my toes while “flying above the landscapes”.
FlyOver Canada also hosts seasonal events and shows where you can FlyOver the North Pole at Christmas time, and also experience a Halloween theme in October! This fully immersive experience is fun for the whole family. We cannot wait to take Grace once she’s a little bit taller!
