Beauty Essentials to Pack in your Purse or Diaper Bag
Traveling as a mama with a little one in tow, doesn’t mean you should skip on your skincare routine or forget those “loved” beauty items you use at home. We recently returned from a trip in California and I made sure I brought my favorites along in my diaper bag. Most of these I actually carry with me every day. They are not only highly performing, but also safe – which is the most important thing!
Side Note: I am loving my Fawn Design diaper bag. It is so roomy that I can fit all of Hudson’s essentials, and mine as well. There is always space for extras and it’s my favorite bag for traveling, as it’s comfortable and doesn’t feel like you’re carrying a heavy load (although I usually am).
Beautycounter One Step Makeup Remover Wipes
These are incredible and super soft. They are environmentaly friendly and biodegradable, but they also remove the entire day from your face in just a few swipes. They are perfect for traveling and on the go!
Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion
This is my all time favorite moisturizer and it smells divine! I have combination skin that is sometimes dry, and at other times oily. This lotion balances it all and my skin feels smooth and hydrated. This lotion adapts it’s moisture benefits throughout the day, which is essential when traveling. The tube is long lasting and because of the high quality natural ingredients, it’s totally worth the price!
Beautycounter Balancing Charcoal Facial Mist
This is my “spa in a bottle” goes everywhere with me miracle mist! It’s an instant refresher when on the go, and leaves my skin feeling fresh and revitalized. It’s alchohol free and specially formulated with charcoal powder and kaolin clay, it absorbs excess oil, refines skin texture, and helps calm redness. I just love misting my face with this!
Beautycounter Touch-up Concealer Pen
This Concealer is Magic! It hides blemishes and the darkest circles, plus it’s so easy to apply. Its click-pen and brush applicator make it easy to apply just the right amount, even on the go. I’m using the concealer pen in “LIGHT” which blends flawlessly.
Countersun Sunscreen
Beautycounter’s New Countersun provides UVA, UVB and BLUE LIGHT defense while remaining entirely safe for the whole family! I love the lotion, the face stick (so easy to apply) and the brand new spray! It sprays on white intentionally, so you can see where it’s going and dries completely clear. The container provides the convenience of an aerosol, but it is POWERED BY AIR – no harmful chemicals. And you won’t be polluting the lungs of your neighbour when you spray it on.
Pure Pit Balm Natural Deodorant
This stuff is the bomb. It smells great and it’s natural, organic, and aluminum free! If you haven’t switched to a natural deoderant yet, this local Vancouver brand is one to try! There’s lemongrass, pink grapefruit, and unscented and it’s in a glass bottle which helps to reduce the carbon footprint. I have transfered a small amount to a miniture jar that I use for traveling and to keep in my bag. It does take a while to get used to a natural deodorant, but once you do, you will never need to go back.
VOIR Invisible Dry Shampoo
I love a good dry shampoo and this one is seriously the best i’ve tried. It’s a saviour when you’re short on time, it instantly boosts volume, mattifies roots, and leaves hair feeling fresh and lifted between washes. Best of all its free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and mineral oil.
Baby Daily Protective Balm
This is a must-have for any mama on the-go, I always keep it in my purse or diaper bag! There are so many uses. I use it on my lips, dry cuticals, cuts or scrapes, and of course anything related to baby. Designed for even the gentlest newborn skin, this all-purpose nourishing balm is the ultimate hydrating and comforting multitasker. It’s just the best, it will clear up any rash or baby skin irritant immediately.
This gloss goes everywhere with me and I just put in an order for more colors. I do love “PEONY” and I am so impressed with the long lasting shine and moisturizing feel on my lips. There are SO MANY Lipsticks and lip glosses out there that contain lead, cadmium, chromium, aluminum, and other toxic metals. It’s said we unknowingly eat ONE POUND of lipstick a year, so make sure its good for you! This one is!

That is a very pretty lipgloss!
It’s my favorite color – peony! And their lipgloss is not sticky, so smooth!
Such a great selection of products to take around for a hot summer day
They sure are!
I’ve always been hesitant to travel with my boys while they were young. BOY AM I MISSING OUT. But I can definitely add these items to my purse or diaper bag just because. Thanks for the tips.
It just takes a bit of planning and patience! No worries mama! My pleasure
